Only use products that are compatible with the finish on your floors. If you have Hardwax Oil “Treatex” on your floor and you and you use a cleaning product that contains a degreasant solution you will ruin your floor.
If you have a floor Laquer finish such as Bona you can not use
maintenance products meant for oils.
Always use maintenance products that are recommended by the
manufacturer of the floor finish.
For an example, If you use Treatex Floor care soap over Treatex Hardwax oil you can apply other coats of oil to replenish the floor in the future because the two products are comparable. If you buy a product at your local shop without knowing what it contains and then use it over Treatex Hardwax Oil, and that product just happened to contain traces of Silicon you would have to re-sand the floor before you can re-oil.
